I grew up in Bay City, Michigan, U.S.A. and my first college years directed me into teaching the deaf. However, I ended up teaching Middle School English, math, and science. When my sons graduated from high school, I decided to go on an adventure to South Korea. For five years, I taught ESL and became a Directing Manager for a private English institute called Giving Tree Academy in Jeonju. I was principal to 400 students and managed 12 Native English speaking and Korean English teachers. My phonology background to teach deaf children has been a big factor in my ESL success as a teacher, and my linguistics training gave me the necessary skills to teach grammar to S. Korean ESL students of all ages. Teaching math and science to middle school students in the states has also given me the skills needed to advance students at their individual levels. This is my second year in Poland and as a Grade 4 teacher, so I believe this year will be a great success for your children!

Below, you will see me with Robin Hood in front of Nottingham Castle. Miss Lundin and I went for a weekend and visited Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest. Also below is a part of my family at my mom's 80th birthday party. There are no grandchildren in this picture, but it does show two of the six great grandchildren!
